"The harbour was like black glass, reflecting the lights, and the air smelled of jasmine and salt water. And the city was sexy, the way a city can be that time of year, at that time of your life. Anything could happen, and we felt that it did."
Sunset Cafe, a play with songs, is an exuberant, sexy ride through one night and four lives.
On the night of the last day of high school, four friends, driven by a sense of change in their lives, are each determined to make this night memorable.
Billy wants to become a legend, and he needs an audience; Grace wants to find her lost love Andy, who is rumoured to be back in town; Diana wants everyone to gather at the beach party at Scorching Bay to mark the passing of their school days; John just wants to get Diana alone.
You'll remember this night for the rest of your lives.
