Russ is on edge. He's got no money. No job. His girlfriend sleeps all day on a mattress in the kitchen. His flatmate just went under the wheels of a bus, leaving an empty, black-painted bedroom. Russ has already forgotten what he looked like.
His only relief comes from staring obsessively into the tawny, mesmerising eyes of the tiger at the zoo. That can't be normal.
When a shy new flatmate arrives, with a brutal boyfriend in tow and a secret tiger-head tattoo on her breast, Russ's grip on sanity becomes dangerously loose.
